Mind the Gap Sycamore A4 Art Print

Mind the Gap Sycamore A4 Art Print

from £12.00

A4 Print of potentially the most famous tree in the world, painted in watercolour by Sarah Clack.

The legend of the Sycamore Gap tree lives on, it’s dark silhouette immortalised beneath the striking Milky Way galaxy in Northumberland Dark Sky Park. Featured in 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the tree stood as a beloved landmark in a dip along the length of Hadrian’s Wall. I painted the image long before the tree was sadly and illegally felled in 2023, and now remains in memoriam of the tree that had captured so many hearts. The tree as we knew it is gone from the landscape, however there is still hope for the future as it has been noted to be sprouting from the stump and saplings grown from seeds gathered nearby have been replanted across the country.
